Amplify: A Two-Day Comprehensive Solution

Our first Amplify event took place late this past Spring, and people had a lot of good things to say. Everyone had a chance to learn from some of the leading marching sound system experts and figure out what to do to improve their groups' electronic and sound system setups!

That said, we want to provide this opportunity to as many people as possible, and to make sure there is plenty of hands-on time during clinics for people to really make sure they understand everything. That's why we're back for round 2!

This time, the event is two days of learning all about field audio - July 13th and 14th - and we will cover everything there is to know. The event is twice as long as the last one, for the same price! Day 1 is at Lake Highlands High School so we can make sure to get into the nitty-gritty and separate into smaller groups; we want to make sure all your questions are answered.

"Having attended multiple clinics at TMEA, TBA, PASIC, and Midwest, I believe the Amplify Clinic was one of the most beneficial educational experiences I have ever experienced. The presentations and supplemental materials provided were meticulously constructed to allow the attendees to follow along with ease. The information provided by the outstanding clinicians was highly beneficial as they talked about many different products as well as advantages and disadvantages with each. Their knowledge base was backed up by all of their years of working with DCI, WGI, BOA, and other professional groups so you know they were speaking from experience!

After the general group sessions in the morning, we were able to work in smaller groups in the afternoon allowing us to interact with these experts on a whole different level. All of the experts were generous with their information and their insight all while maintaining respect towards attendees of all ability levels. This made the day a very memorable experience. I am looking forward to the next big event!"

What will I learn at Amplify?

  • Exactly what gear your group needs
  • How to set all of it up and maintain it
  • How to make that gear sound great
  • How to use your mixing board (whatever kind you have)
  • How to amplify and mix non-percussion instruments and soloists
  • How to utilize wireless gear
  • How to manage synthesizers and audio samples with software like MainStage
  • Anything else you’d like to know
