Schlagwerk has designed countless additions and accessories for their cajons. Everything from the "I've always wanted something like that!" to "Who on Earth thought of this?!". These accessories will make you approach the cajon in an exciting new way!

Sometimes playing cajon can be bittersweet, because while having a great acoustic option for playing drum set like grooves, there's only so many things you can play when you can't use your feet.

Schlagwerk has solved this by developing a pedal designed specifically for the cajon. With this remote pedal (that is attached to the included Schlagwerk Base Plate) you can play bass patterns while your hands are playing fun, more complex rhythms on the top edge of the cajon.

This pedal is made specifically for the cajon so the pedal does not strike too hard and the head is made of soft material that will bring out great tones without causing any damage.

    • Finally, a cajon pedal that won't break!
    • May 23, 2014
    • by Matt P.
    • This is the best cajon pedal on the market, period. When I read reviews for the other brands (Gibralter, LP, and Chromacast) people were constantly complaining of cheap construction - particularly the cable breaking within the first or second use. I came across the Schlagwerk pedal and nearly died at the price tag - at least double the price of other brands! To justify such an exorbitant cost I did more research by personally contacting people with this pedal. All were happy customers and raved about the pedal's feel and construction - and nobody had a broken cable. I decided to purchase the Schlagwerk cajon pedal and I too couldn't be happier with my purchase. The pedal is indeed well constructed and responds well. What's impressive is the thought that went into this product. The pedal comes in it's own protective box casing with specific slots and grooves for the base plate, pedal, and beater. There is a diagram to show you exactly how to store everything and secure the cable with the provided velcro strip so that the cable isn't pinched - all to ensure that this pedal will not be damaged when not in use. It was made clear never to hold or handle the cable in any way. Clearly the people at Schlagwerk (a German company) have thought about the best way to preserve this piece of equipment, so part of the high cost includes this protective casing and ingenuity. Overall, an excellent pedal. Yes, it's expensive but you truly get what you pay for in this instance.
