Iron Cobra Speed Pedals are designed to meet the needs of today's speed drummers, without the typical loss of power. These pedals have several features that cannot be found on other products:- Extended Footboard - the footboard has been lengthened, giving you more power with less effort. It's also smooth for as little friction as possible.
- Recessed Setting - the chain is set further back from the cam, delivering a faster attack for the same amount of work
- Fastball Bearing - the same hi-precision bearings used in PC hard drives and automotive ABS systems
- LiteSprocket - this sprocket, very similar to the rolling glide cam used in regular iron cobras, has been hollowed out to remove 40% of the weight
- Projection Beater - this beater can be adjusted to provide a sharp, projected attack with very little contact area, or a fatter, more powerful sound with a greater contact area
Super Spring - requires less effort in the initial part of the stroke- Cobra Coil - A steel spring under the footboard that automatically returns it to its original position after each stroke. Can be adjusted to any point along the footboard.
- Oiles Bearing Hinge - creates less friction than traditionally-used ball bearings, increasing smoothness
- Para-Clamp II - Keeps the bass pedal flat on the floor regardless of bass drum angle. Tightening screw is extended so you don't have to reach under the pedal to adjust.
- Spring Tight- a half-moon shaped spring tension rod keeps the main pedal spring from twisting, which would result in a loss of tension
- Speedo Ring - replaces the traditional nylon rocker cam with a built-in ball bearing rocker. Easy to set up and break down, and allows pedal to be stored in case without removing the beater
- Completely Adjustable - the footboard angle, beater shaft angle, and beater head angle can all be adjusted, giving you absolute control over the feel of the pedal.
