The Soul Cajon by Mario Cortes is finished in a rich, dark lacquer with lighter-colored highlights, giving it the appearance of a fine classical instrument. Hand-crafted in Spain, the sound board is crafted from Finnish Birch, and is hexagonal in shape in order to better focus the fundamental tone of the instrument. The tension on the four internal snare wires is fully adjustable, and overall tuning is simple with the included tuning key.
