Note: Shell Packs are defined as drums only. No cymbals, stands, pedals, or hardware of any kind is included except where noted. An exception is toms mounted on the bass drum will have included posts for mounting the toms.
Crush's Sublime Tour Ash drums have shells that are actually a combination of Ash and North American Maple, creating a nice balance between the attack of Ash with the general warmth of softer Maple. Each drum has a reinforcement ring, different numbers of plies, and a unique bearing edge that helps create the desired resonance: the snare has 10 plies and a 45-degree bearing edge (loud, dry up-front sound), the bass drum has 8 plies and a round edge for a punchy yet resonant tone, and the toms have 6 plies with 45-degree bearing edges for a sharp attack but lots of ring afterwards.
The toms are mounted with the drilling-free Crush 4-Point X-Suspension Mount system, as well as Crush Mounts with Mating Memory Locks. To keep the drums tuned tight and strong, the drums have all been equipped with 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops; the snare has special reverse-flanged hoops to help you keep your sticks alive longer.
The beautiful Vintage Sunburst finish on this drum may be worth the price alone. |
