The Meinl Floatune Tuning System is a unique Meinl innovation: all mounting hardware is completely isolated from the shell, which negates the need to drill through the shell and mount hardware with bolts (a process that reduces the resonant vibrations of the shell). The Meinl Floatune Series Fiberglass Djembes offer a much different sound than wooden djembes. Fiberglass has enormous strength, and can produce slaps of outstanding clarity and immensely powerful bass tones. Tuning is a very simple process with the included L-shaped tuning key, tune-up oil, and an accessory pouch so you never lose these important components.
