The Dynasty DFX Double Marching Snare Drum has a second strain of curly wire snares that lies just underneath the batter head, adding a raspy thickness to the overall sound that gives it a very 'pipe band' or 'Scottish' flair. The second snares can be easily engaged or disengaged with a flip of a lever. The drum features a shell made of durable rock maple, a wood known for its intrinsic strength and ability to enhance high frequencies. Eight plies thick, the dimensions of the shell will really help the drum sound as loud as it should. The Endurite die-cast hoop locks in the tuning even at extremely high tensions, and can take abuse given from hundreds of thousands of shots and pings. The high-tension tuning rods can also stand to be cranked into outer space, while remaining protected with Endurite lugs.

The snare throw off requires just a little effort on the part of the player to engage or disengage, and can be adjusted horizontally or vertically. Each of the twelve nylon snares can be individually adjusted to match the perfect pitch across the line, all protected by snare guards. This drum weighs in at 20 pounds.
