Ludwig 3" x 13" Seamless Bronze Shell Piccolo Snare

A unique mixture of a metal snare drum with wood
shell characteristics. That is the Ludwig Bronze Series.
The bronze seamless shell offers the sharp “snap”
and projection of a metal drum with the smooth warmth
of a wood shell.

Choose the smooth shell for ultimate resonance or a
hammered shell for a drier more articulate response.
Options include the standard triple-flanged hoops or
die cast hoops, Imperial or tube lugs, and P85 or P86
Millenium strainers.

The Black Panther series features 14 unique snare drums, each with its own shell materials and dimensions. Each Black Panther includes the following:

• Piston Throwoff - requires minimal effort, and has a 'micro-lock' adjustment dial that physically (but not audibly) clicks when adjusted.
• Sonic Saver Hoops - riding somewhere between a die cast hoop and a triple-flanged hoop; it provides the stability to give the drum very powerful rim shots, but is light enough to not hinder the vibrations of the shell. The rounded profile of the rim also extends the life of your sticks.
• Cylinder Drive Strainer - the bearings in this strainer are self-lubricating, giving you a smooth operation
• Premium Snare Wires - stainless steel snare wires give the drum a dry, crisp sound.

The Retrosonic snare drum has an 8.1mm walnut shell, and has a very traditional design to create that very traditional, vintage-style sound.

The Mapex Saturn Special Edition snare drum has all of the same great features as the shell packs of the same name. Made with 7 plies of walnut and maple, this drum combines the fullness of walnut with the brightness and punch of birch. Low-mass lugs are attached at only one point, maximizing the possible resonance from the shell, while 2.3mm steel Power Hoops keep the drum tuned and keep your sticks from breaking. Available in the following lacquer finishes: Moss Green over Figured Maple, Ocean Wave over Figured Maple, Wine Burst over Figured Maple, Walnut Fade over Figured Maple

This Very Limited Edition Pearl Concert Snare Drum is available only at Lone Star Percussion. Made from the 3mm Reference Series Brass, this drum blends extreme sensitivity at lower dynamics while delivering amazing power at louder dynamics. It also has several components found in Pearl's Concert Series Drums. There are less than ten of these in the world and they're only available here at Lone Star Percussion. The dimensions on this drum are pretty unique - if you were squinting you could almost see it as a tom! The result is an interesting mixture of high pitch with a lot of depth to the sound - the meatiest piccolo snare you've ever heard. Adding to the depth of tone is the 6-ply poplar/mahogany shell. Hardware includes 1.6mm triple-flanged steel hoops, an SR-017 snare strainer, S-022 wire snares, and eight CL-65 lugs for precise and easy tuning. A special Limited Edition badge is prominently featured on the shell, which has a very nice Liquid Amber finish. A ProTone coated batter head and Pearl SS snare head are also included, as well as a tuning key.
