The EMAD Onyx utilizes a single ply of 10mil black film with an improved EMAD damping ring and a micro-clear coated that produces an extra dark sound while delivering additional punch.
An ideal balance of punch, power, and low-end...the EMAD is a 10mil 1-ply head that employs an externally mounted adjustable damping system with two interchangeable damping rings that allow the player to adjust attack and focus. It delivers a singular oomph that'll support the fattest of backbeats.
With a sharp attack and a focused and pronounced low-end, the EMAD2 is a 2-ply version of the popular original. The combination of a 7mil outer ply and 10mil inner ply offer extreme durability, while the two interchangeable damping rings allow the player to adjust sustain and feel. Together, they offer control, low-end, and articulation well suited to heavy rock and double bass.
With accentuated low-end response, the EMAD Resonant is constructed using a 7.5mil black film with a 6.5mil fixed internal control ring. It comes with an Externally Mounted Adjustable Damping system installed around the 4" offset microphone port that allows the user to manipulate attack, tone, and sustain without the need for internal damping.
One ply of 7.5 mil black film with a micro-clear matte coating, an internal control ring, and a 5" offset mic port give the Onyx Resonant a short sustain with a dark sound.
