Note: Shell Packs are defined as drums only. No cymbals, stands, pedals, or hardware of any kind is included except where noted. An exception is toms mounted on the bass drum will have included posts for mounting the toms. During Ludwig's 100th anniversary year, they unveiled the Epic line of drums designed for louder, harsher musical styles (Punk, Rock, Metal, etc…). The shells are made from a combination of woods - the core plies are made from maple, which are surrounded by birch plies on the inside and outside. This combination provides solid down-the-middle timbre support while still letting the drums roar at louder volumes. 45-degree bearing edges keep the heads resonant and wet. This drum set also includes the following features:- Keystone Lugs - stylish and designed to keep the drum truly in tune even when thrashed upon
- Insulated Bass Claws - no metal-to-wood contact from the claws to the bass drum hoops means no rattles and no structural damage
- Locking Bass Drum Spurs - pointed tips on the end of the bass drum legs dig strongly into your drum carpet, keeping your bass drum firmly in place
- Vibraband Tom Mounts - diminishes the amount of vibration from the mounted toms to the bass drum and vice versa, which eliminates all unwanted harmonic resonance
- Triple-Flanged Hoops - 2.5mm thick on the snare, 2mm on the toms
- Remo Heads
- Shell Pack includes the following drums - 6.5" x 14" Snare, 7.5" x 10" and 8" x 12" Mounted Toms, 14" x 14" and 16" x 16" Floor Toms, 18" x 22" Bass Drum
These drums are available in 6 different finishes, each with a corresponding hardware color.
