The Ensemble Series ENS260 hard latex covered rubber keyboard mallets have a firm core and medium rubber outer layer for versatility; it allows them to be used in varying ranges. The firm rubber core is just right for projection in ensemble settings, but the soft latex brings an element of warmth and offers better resonance in lower ranges. These mallets would be ideal on marimbas and vibraphones, but are probably too soft for xylophones. The birch handles are super dependable; a quality found in all Innovative Percussion materials. These are identical to the ENS260R mallets, but with the reduced weight of birch handles.
