The Bret Kuhn Arena Series Marching Snare Stick is a smaller version of the popular field series drumstick designed to the exact specification of Bret Kuhn, caption head and arranger for the world champion Cavalier Drum and Bugle Corps.The AS-BK is the newest drumstick in the Arena Series, designed specifically for the indoor marching percussion environment. Bret's stick is constructed of heartwood hickory and features a long taper and elongated oval bead for an increased rebound and a dark tone.
The AS-MM Arena Series Marching Snare Stick has been designed to the specifications of Mike McIntosh, Caption Head of The Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps and Percussion Coordinator for the award winning Carmel High School Band. The AS-MM is the first product in the new Arena Series, designed specifically for use in the indoor marching percussion environment. Constructed of heartwood hickory for excellent durability and response, the AS-MM features the full size thickness of an outdoor marching drumstick with a smaller round bead for increased articulation. The Paul Rennick Field Series Marching Snare Stick from IP is constructed of white hickory* for increased durability. The FS-PR features a long taper and a larger diameter teardrop shaped bead, creating a quick rebound and response while still creating a full tone quality.*As of January 2013, FS-PR sticks made from Heartwood Hickory are no longer available.
The FS-PR2 is constructed of White Hickory*, and features a slightly larger thickness, a long taper and a larger bulleted barrel shaped bead creating a quick rebound, while the larger size produces a full dark sound.*As of November 2012, IP manufactures this stick with White Hickory rather than the original Heartwood Hickory.
The FS-SG Field Series snare drum stick is designed to the specifications of Shane Gwaltney, visual designer and battery arranger for Music City Mystique, percussion coordinator and battery arranger for Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps, and percussion coordinator for Choctawhatchee High School. Like all of the marching snare drum sticks, the FS-SG is constructed of heartwood hickory. It features a medium taper that flows smoothly into the barrel-shaped bead without a defined collar. The large diameter makes the stick suitable for outdoor use while the bead provides a clear articulation, making the stick also appropriate for indoor playing.
The IP Tim Fairbanks Field Series Marching Snare Stick replaces the Arena Series version. Constructed with the same profile, the diameter is increased to .710" giving the stick a bigger sound and feel.
Innovative Percussion Jim Casella Irregular Marching Sticks. These are great for hack sticks or practice sticks. They are made by the manufacturer and are the same sticks as the production models, but did not meet the manufacturers standards to become productions sticks.
