The Rattan Series Anders strand AA35 hard wrapped xylophone mallets are in the Innovative Percussion Rattan Artist Series mallets. The AA35 mallets are specifically meant for use on xylophone instruments when a less defined sound is desired. The AA35 have hard cores typical to xylophone mallets, but are covered in cord for a softer, more resonant tone. These mallets feature the quality elements you have come to expect from Innovative Percussion; hard rubber mushroom cores for full, rich, and warm tones; durable multi-ply cord; extremely tough, reliable rattan handles. The design for these mallets was heavily influenced by vibraphonist and mallet specialist Anders strand, well known for his work in the Global Percussion Network.
