The "Shorty" has a hard rock maple shell, endurite tension casings, 6mm thread tension rods and comes in a regular snare version or the double snare version. The Dynasty DFW 14 x 6 in. "Wedge" Marching Snare Drum is the new drum on the market for parades, small bands, Shriner's, Police and Firemen's bands. The "Wedge" snare drum is the lite-weight alternative to marching snare drums at 11.5 pounds. The "Wedge" sounds great and is completely interchangeable with the DFXT14 and DSFT14 snare drums. These rims also enhance the low-end partials. Zinc alloy lug casings with reinforced walls and webbing provide superior strength for high-tension tuning. A traditional strainer throw-off provides simple, one-point adjustment. The 20-strand, high-carbon steel snare wires provide a crisp snare response, creating a bright sound.
