The PDP Concept Series features shells that are either 100% Birch or 100% Maple, made from 7 plies on the bass drum, mounted toms, and floor toms, and 10 plies on the snare for some extra punch and power. This drum set has birch shells and a beautiful Cherry to Black Fade finish and chrome hardware. The Concept Series also contains some DW-inspired features to enhance the sound created by this instrument:

• STM Mounting System - nothing is drilled into the tom shells, maximizing resonance
• True Pitch Tuning - utilizes True Pitch tension rods that have finer threading than typical tension rods.
• F.A.S.T. Tom Sizing - toms are made with depths appropriate to their diameter.
• Proportional Counter Hoop Sizing - hoop thickness is relative to tom size. 8"-10" toms have 1.5mm hoops, 12"-14"-16" toms have 2mm hoops, and the snare has a 2.5mm hoop.
• Remo Heads
• MAG Throw-Off - held in the on position with a magnet, this throw-off releases cleanly and easily.
• Copper Wire Snares
