For those who prefer a long concert stick, this one fits the bill. At almost 17 inches in length, the SDJM also features a long taper to a barrel-shaped wood tip. A slight “reverse taper” on the handle results in a fast, responsive and comfortable concert snare drum stick.

Matt Savage is a respected writer and adjudicator with 25 years of playing and teaching experience in the percussion field. In addition to marching with the Bayonne Bridgemen, he has served as percussion arranger for corps such as the Velvet Knights, Dutchboy, and the Bluecoats.On the collegiate level, he has been the percussion instructor for the USC Trojan Marching Band, and has served as the Assistant Director of University Bands at the University of North Carolina in the past.He is also the author of “Savage Rudimental Workshop”, a snare drum book published by Warner Bros. Music, and is heavily involved with indoor percussion as a clinician an adjudicator of Winter Guard International.The TXXB1 is for concert practice. The TXXB2 is for rudimental practice.
