Solid Hoop Pans are Panyard's premiere line of instruments. Everything about these instruments says quality: the steel used is carefully hand-selected, thousands of measurements are painstakingly taken throughout the crafting process, and each note is individually hammered to its own thickness. Once initially hammered, the pan is then analyzed by experts who provide information on how to make that specific pan sound the best it possibly can.
Cellos are the 'tenors' of the steel drum choir, fitting their voice above the basses but below the double seconds. Four Cellos are designed to be easy for strumming and melodic passages, and have a range from C3 - Eb5. The painted finish gives visual clarity to the pitches, and will not become impossible to read under stage lights.
