The Meinl Stand Alone Wood Surdos have all the features of their Aluminum Surdos, but with six-ply wooden shells for a warmer sound. They deliver the full bass notes that are the heartbeat of Samba music, and are light enough for extended play. As with their aluminum counterparts, these surdos also include chrome-plated hardware, countersunk bolt heads, and a tuning key. These drums have their own feet, and do not need to be strapped on to the player's body!
