The Academy Series instruments feature an Integrated Resonator Rail System that provides not only a quality bar suspension and box resonator format, but also the rigid Aluminum Beam structure that makes these instruments the most durable in this class on the market. This xylophone can be used either on a table -top, or with the double leg X-style stand included with each instrument. The bars are tuned to the same specifications as the professional model 5.0 Octave Rosewood marimbas (Tuned to the 6th overtone). This xylophone uses 1 1/2" fixed width light Rosewood bars, which prepares the student for instruments they will use throughout their studies. Range of the instrument is F to C. A drop cover and one pair of mallets are provided so students can begin playing as soon as the instrument is set-up. A soft case will be available separately for those who need to protect their instruments from the elements.
