Ron Vaughn's 10" Calfskin FireBird Fluted German Silver/T-10 Tambourine has a split-ring configuration which makes it have a clean, crisp sound with half the normal weight!

It also features the SuperGrip, a highly-effective implement on the tambourine which makes it simple to hold and easier to play accurately with out fear of the instrument slipping out of your hands.

The jingles are constructed of 26 pairs of a compound, T-10 (German silver) material. They are also in a fluted 1" format.

This solid maple tambourine is ideal for delicate parts. It can produce a highly clear sound on even the most difficult rhythms. It would also be ideal for recording studios and concert halls.

    • Beautiful, incredibly sensitive instrument. Worth the price!

    • This is the most sensitive tambourine for soft dynamic playing. Perfect for soft moments in the repertoire such as Carmen or Four Sea Interludes. Jingles respond with clarity and articulation at incredibly soft levels, lightweight and easy to hold, with a great calf head. Sensitivity allows for soft playing without all the extra muting. Nice amount of resonance but not too much "ring" . Note: not to serve as a "general" tambourine, this instrument has a niche role for the orchestral player.
