The Marimba One Izzy 5.0 Octave Marimba is a gorgeously hand-crafted instrument. The 5.0 octave range (C2 - C7) is the standard for today's serious performer - most music written today for intermediate to advanced players takes advantage of this range.

The Izzy frame features contemporary hybrid aluminum/wood rails that are laser-engraved with the Marimba One logo. These rails are actually stronger, lighter, and less costly than the wooden rails found on the 3000 and soloist series instruments.

On Izzy boards, the rails sit on rubber holders that have been attached to the mahogany headboards, instead of inside headboard slots like on the 3000/soloist marimbas. No wood-on-metal contact means no rattle noise.

All Izzy marimbas can change height from 34" to 39.5" (higher than the 3000 series) using pneumatic tubes that do not involve any cranking. Players of virtually any height can use this board without sacrificing their technique or their posture.

The Enhanced Keyboard on this instrument contains bars that have been specially selected for more resonance, greater projection, and a darker quality in the bass notes compared to the Traditional Keyboard. Most professional soloists choose this keyboard.

Loud overtones can be a bit of a problem on the low end, but Basso Bravo resonators negate that issue by boosting the fundamental tone of the bar. This boost also clarifies the pitch of the low notes in quick, complex passages.

Harmonic filters in the resonators attenuate out upper harmonics that would otherwise overbalance the sound of the fundamental note, creating a deeper, mellower character.

The S-curve shape of the resonators is a finishing touch to a beautiful instrument, giving it a classy and flowing design that complements the sounds that it produces.

This instrument has been pre-configured as shown due to popularity. If you want a similar instrument with modifications (cherry headboards, wooden rails, gold/burgundy resonator color, or basso bravo resonators), we can help you out! Please give us a call at 1-866-792-0143 to configure your perfect marimba.

Hitting the return button after a sentence a couple of times will move your text down to the next line like this, so you can make paragraphs that are easier for people to read.
