    • My high school drum instructor bought these for our bass line when we got new drums because he did not want to drill the rims on the dynasty's that we got. They worked exceptionally well and do protect from gouges in your rims. However, they can compress your rims if you tighten them too much. Also, being not the brightest high schoolers, we would not be over gentle when putting our mallets on the clips sometimes, and the clips broke from it sometimes. Fortunately those clips are replaceable. They even fit over our dynasty covers because the center floated over the drum slightly. We also almost used them to use puffys, but we changed our minds. They are great.

    • The mallet holder with rim shooters is a pretty good product! The rim shooters sound great and feel good to drum on. The mallet clips securely hold the mallets in place, and are easy to get the mallets in and out of. I like that this is adjustable to size, and is easily removed from the drum where it's not stuck to the shell There are some downsides - it's rather heavy due to all the hardware. Also, the clips that hold the shooters to the rim, which are tightened with a drum key, have a tendency to slip and lose grip over time (but that's to be partially expected, as it's connected to a piece being hit). For those who wonder how this works with doesn't! That is, it doesn't without cutting into the cover to create holes for the mallet holders (That said, no other company mallet holder is different, they all require either cutting the cover, or not using them when the covers are on).
