  • Item Details

This Offworld Percussion 8" Rogue Practice Pad features the same DarkMatter playing surface as the more expensive Invader V3 pads, but with a stylish wooden outside rim that saves you money and looks great in that hand-crafted, woodworked kind of way.

This pad is particularly good for beginners who have no reason to practice rimshots, not to mention drummers who want that high-tension snare drum feel and articulation without a bulky, heavy pad. At 8" around, the Rogue fits into virtually any backpack easily.

The bottom of the pad is fitted with a non-slip foam surface that prevents it from slipping around on hard surfaces. The rivets in the wooden hoop don't have any practical function, but they really look sweet. People will definitely come up and ask "what pad is THAT??"

    • Ordered this pad for a late christmas present with some giftcards i got. Was super excited when it arrived, but it was not what I expected. The Darkmatter surface is different from the invader and outlander series, instead of being superheated onto the base itself (which isnt good for wood obviously) it had been cut out and glued on i believe, which deadened the feel and response for me. The rivets that held the wood together rattled from the inside out and was noticeable only when playing without anything underneath. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful pad and isn't that bad, but for what i was expecting - which was a stylish portable cousin of the Invader - it wasn't what i wanted. I returned it and ordered an Outlander travel pad, instead.
