    • Length: 17"
    • Diameter: 0.813"

  • Item Details

Made specifically for traditional rudimental snare drum playing (rope-tuned field drums), Halifaxes have a very large oval bead and a taper that essentially uses the entire stick. They're very back-heavy, making it easy for you to play single strokes quickly and roll for long periods of time.

Each pair of Cooperman sticks is hand finished, rolled, and matched for both weight and pitch in their shop in Vermont. The model and name of each stick are engraved near the butt, along with distinctive line markings.

    • Great for Field Drum

    • I bought these for field drum solo and they are marvelous and perfect for what I needed. They were designed for rope tension snare drum, and they work great for that style of playing. I would avoid any and all shots as Persimmon is not durable to them like even maple. They have great sound and great feel when you get used to them. They remind me of Pipe band sticks, but larger. They taper for their whole length and have a somewhat massive bead. All in all, they are great for field drum work, but not much else. I recommend them for people who do enough with field drum to justify an expensive purchase that is only for that instrument.

    • Different, But Good

    • These sticks are much different from any other marching sticks I've played, but the feel is quite nice. They are pretty light, with more weight toward the bead of the stick. They also vibrate a lot when playing, but not too much to take away from the stick, and it is cool to feel every stroke that is played respond in the stick.
