The MS6CO Rubber-tip Practice Stick by Vic Firth combines a rubber tip design and a special taper to simulate the authentic feel of the MS5 Snare stick. Great for practice, or for creating unique sound color possibilities on the drum.

CORPSMASTER SNARE STICKS
Field tested and field proven, the superior designs of the Corpsmaster line developed throughout years of collaboration with the world's finest drum and bugle corps. Each season since the products were introduced, Corpsmaster sticks and mallets have remained the most popular choice among the top high school bands, indoor percussion ensembles and DCI Championship corps.
The Corpsmaster Signature marching snare sticks feature designs which reflect the musical requirements of each artist in terms of balance, feel and sound projection. All models are turned in hickory for strength and power with the exception of the MS4 which is crafted in Sta-Pac for maximum weight.

These things are perfect for practicing anywhere. They're very quiet and are a great alternative to drum pads. They feel just like a real stick and the bounce is almost identical on most surfaces. I play the tenors, so these are great for practicing on my floor. Because I'm not constricted to just a circle, I can hit wherever I want. I got them, also, so I could practice on my desk at school, and despite getting in trouble all the time for playing instead of doing work, it works out. If you're serious about practicing, I would still recomend investing in a nice set of tenor pads of the Off World snare pad, but these are perfect for on the go.
