All USA Custom Series wood snare drums feature legendary 6-ply Gretsch maple shells and are available in a wide variety of sizes, finishes, snare throw-offs and other options. Finish options are Nitron Covered, High-Gloss Lacquer, or Satin Lacquer. Throw-off options include the classic Gretsch Lightning or contemporary designed throw-offs by Dunnett and Nickelworks. All wood snares feature chrome hardware with Die Cast Hoops and 20-strand steel Gretsch snare wires. 6.5x14 snares are available in 10, 16, or 20 lug configurations. Gretsch’s proprietary snare bed is cut into all wood drums to maximize snare articulation and response. Our classic key holder and tone control options are available, as they have been for over 50 years.
