    • Amazing and honest, makes you work and pays off

    • Sure, if you play jazz or funk you might tune your drums tight and double strokes come easy... But rock and other styles not so much. I have rubber pads and they're completely different than a drumhead... You can nail techniques in a rubber pad and then hear them sound like sh*t in your drumkit... This pad doesn't give you optimal rebound, it makes you work, but it will pay off way better than a rubber pad.

    • Great Practice Pad

    • An earlier reviewer described the pad as "pillow like." Actually, that's good - not as much bounce as those gum rubber pads. This pad makes you work.

    • Not quite as advertised...

    • I completely agree with the previous poster. Same situation, had my beginners order this for use in class this year. There are some advantages such as the light weight, but buzzes are too difficult and there is no rim. The "feel" of the pad is certainly not like rubber at all and is more "pillow"-like. It was not like I expected and I should have tried it out more thoroughly. We will be returning to the tried and true Remo practice pad next year until somebody invents the "holy grail" of practice pads. 1. Affordable (less than $35) 2. With a rim 3. Thread mount for a stand 4. Snare sound

    • I had my beginners order this pad for use in class this year.Pros:- Very quiet as described- Very lightweight- Easy to set-up- Seems durableCons:- I would NOT call the surface rubber; it is more like a squishy fabric (sounds weird, but that is the best way I can describe it)- Results in decent rebound, but not as much as I would like- Buzzes are tough for beginners- No rimI have begun looking for alternatives for next year. I like it, but I don't love it, and it is mainly because of the not-so-accurate "rubber" description of the product.
